Dalraj + Jaz | Modern Meets Traditional | Engagement Session, Kelowna B.C. | West Kootenay Wedding Photographer
This engagement session couldn't have gone any better. I had the most perfect couple to work with, and the weather turned out to be ideal! We started our day with a modern flare down at the Kasugai Japanese Garden. Tucked away in downtown Kelowna, it was the perfect backdrop for the fresh spring look Dalraj and Jaz were aiming for.
Once we wrapped up, we started making our way up the orchard. This was shoot #2 of my spring orchard sessions. This time, I wasn't the only person who lived on this beautiful piece of property. Dalraj grew up amongst the cherry and apple trees and this was a special place for her too. She lived up the street and across the rows upon rows of trees from me. Neighbours in fact, although I would have to say we were a little too far from each other to borrow a cup of sugar. Ideally we were hoping to get that perfect sunset for the last part of our session, but as luck would have it the clouds rolled in. We may not have had the golden sunset we had hoped for, but the clouds created the most perfect overcast and beautiful light to finish off the day. Dalraj and Jaz literally rolled into the orchard in Jaz's Mustang. Once they got out I was completely floored. The traditional Indian clothing they were wearing was phenomenal! Dalraj was wearing the most brilliant emerald green Salwar Kameez, and Jaz wore a crisp white Kurta.
The entire day start to finish was spectacular. The two of them brought out their fun playful sides and the love they share is evident. It was a pleasure to work with such an amazing couple! I wish them all the best in what is to be a long and happy life together.
