Never too Old - Winter Family Session
No matter what stage your family is at, it is always a good time to do family photos.
Family photos were few and far between when I was growing up, at least in my family anyways. My family has had only one professional photo taken, ever. We are wearing matching clothes and there is at least one scrunchie in the mix. We are sitting out amongst fall leaves, which at least is a huge step up from some tacky indoor multi coloured background with studio lighting that was all the rage. However, times have changed and I am no longer a scrunchie wearing 12 year old and my siblings have all their teeth.
Thankfully, this is no longer the case and families are starting to have photos done more than once in a lifetime. This New Years day family photo session was something Laurel, (mother of 4) had been wanting to do for quite some time, but as families get older, and everyone is living in different places it does get a little more challenging. This holiday season she had everyone under one roof and it was go time! We had so much fun on this cold, windy day, and I am so happy I was able to document a new chapter in their lives.
So if you're anything like my family and only have those studio family portraits hanging on your walls, you are probably due for an update!
It is never too late to get family photos done.
