Maternity Session - With Emily
The Christmas break is always a busy time; family dinners, visiting friends, driving from town to town and house to house. At the end of the day all you want to do is kick up your feet with a warm cup of tea or glass of wine and melt into the couch with a good book or your favourite T.V show.
This Christmas break we spent a week in Trail with family and friends and like every other year it was a whirlwind for us as well as our good friends, Jordan, Emily, Rowan, and baby #2 who is nice and toasty living it up in momma’s womb for 3 more weeks.
Emily and I had talked previously about doing maternity photos, but we just weren’t sure if there would be time as they were packing up to move on the 27th. We had planned to visit boxing day, regardless, and I made sure to bring my camera just in case. Towards the end of our visit I pulled out the camera and we snapped a few quick photos. Emily had told me how different the second pregnancy has been for her, and how important it was for her to have this time in her life documented. I’m so glad we made the time to photograph this milestone for her and her family. There is something so beautiful to me about a pregnant woman, and Emily carries it so well.
