50 years, what a milestone! Something that deserves to be celebrated! This amazing couple is celebrating the big 5-0 tomorrow I am so happy for them. A golden anniversary is such an accomplishment and their journey has been something for the books.
1960's a small town Trail girl decides one day that she's going on vacation to the Bahamas and once that vacation was over decided "hey! I want to live here!" and did just that. It was there in Nassau, where she met a handsome mechanic and musician. They married soon after and had a beautiful sunny December 9th wedding in the Bahamas. The day was perfect minus a couple hiccups along the way, like a major power outage that hindered their dinner service, but by the end of the day everyone left happy, fed and with a few good stories. They eventually moved back to Trail B.C where they raised a beautiful multi-cultural family, (one of very, very few) right here in the Kootenays.
I could go on and on about their love and the obstacles they overcame but I'm going to let the pictures do the talking. I just hope that after 50 years my husband and I are able to look at each other the same way these two do.
